Our Staff

All staff members at Water Monkey go through background checks, interviews and training before being allowed to join the team. We take our jobs seriously here so that our families can be at ease with their kids shipping off for a week with us at the lake.

Evan and his son, Finn, surfing!

Evan Goldner - Founder/director

Evan has been working in the camp industry since 2004 and brings a lifetime of outdoors experience and education with him wherever he goes. He will talk your ear off about the benefits of summer camp, saving the environment or his adventures in over 30 countries on five continents.

Home base for Evan is in Bedford, NH with his wife, Kristen, sons, Finn and Kai, and rescue pup Tuckerman. When not busy at camp Evan enjoys mountain biking, skiing, scuba diving and just being outside!

Reece griffiths - coach

Reece is a quadruple threat on the boat…a slalom skiing machine, crazy flipping wakeboarder, super shredding wakesurfer and one of the best drivers we’ve ever employed. Reece also enjoys playing hockey, hitting the gym and searching for elusive bass at the lake. As a long time camper and coach at Water Monkey, he knows our program and how to help campers make the most of their time here. Will he be back for his 10th year in 2024? Only time will tell…

Certifications: NH Commercial Boat Driver, Red Cross Lifeguard

Devin Wahlberg - coach

Didn’t meet Devin in 2023? You definitely missed out on some fun. Devin is from Chisago Lakes, MN where he just graduated from university. He loves spending time snowboarding, mountain biking and hiking with friends and family but his passion is wakeboarding and wakesurfing! Besides getting behind his family’s Centurion and competing in local wakeboard competitions, Devin has also crafted his own wakesurf board and has surfed some winter storm generated waves on Lake Superior!

Certifications: NH Commercial Boat Driver, Red Cross Lifeguard

Molly bruno - coach

2023 was Molly’s first year at Water Monkey but she is definitely not new to our sports. Molly started waterskiing at the age of four and also loves to wakesurf. She enjoys alpine skiing and went to high school in Maine so she could ski at Sugarloaf every day! Molly is currently studying at St. Lawrence University to one day be a physician. She had a blast here this summer out on the water with our awesome campers.

Certifications: NH Commercial Boat Driver, Red Cross Lifeguard

locke darmer - coach

Locke grew up surfing waves at his home beach in Newport, CA and now finds himself at Indiana University where he is enjoying the outdoors while pursuing his degree. Besides wakeboarding and waterskiing, Locke loves snowboarding, mountain biking, skydiving and…tacos! Before joining us in 2023 he worked at a large summer camp driving boats and coaching watersports and that experience helped him thrive here at Water Monkey as a coach (and photographer/videographer).

Certifications: NH Commercial Boat Driver, Red Cross Lifeguard

Alex baldwin - coach

2023 was Alex’s first summer working at camp after five summers of wakeboarding, wakesurfing and waterskiing as a Water Monkey camper! Alex is amazing working with campers of all ages as they learn and progress. Besides watersports, Alex enjoys snowboarding, LAX, teaching swim lessons and playing soccer. Alex’s passion for watersports is contagious and makes her the ideal coach!

Certifications: NH Commercial Boat Driver, Red Cross Lifeguard

wakeboard coach

Sulli Street - Coach

Most coaches come to Water Monkey to spend their summer having fun on the lake but that’s just a normal day in Sulli’s life! He’s been tearing it up behind boats with his family and friends since he was little and he brought those skills, enthusiasm and positivity to camp in 2023.

Certifications: NH Commercial Boat Driver

Cher Anderson - Chef

2021 was Chef Cher’s first summer at Water Monkey but, with 30 years experience, she is not new to a busy kitchen. Cher’s ‘real’ job is as the private chef at an independent school in Vermont where she cooks creative, healthy and fun meals from scratch for the students every day. Cher will be back in 2024 to keep dishing out delicious food to our campers and staff!
